Meeting with Bwindi-Buhoma United Reformed Poachers Initiative

Today, our founder Mushamba met with the leadership and members of the Bwindi Buhoma Reformed Poachers Initiative. We are excited with this partnership. Both parties explained and discussed possible collaborations, including improved vegetable farming and bee-keeping as income-generating activities.

In addition, members also spent time planting fig trees on the farm land that we purchased recently, and from which we cut the timber wood to build a lodge. Our goal is to plant many fig trees and other native forest trees as part of our goal of reforestation and increasing the habitat of the gorillas.
